July update on tattooing & life in general πŸŒ₯️

Welcome back! Or if this is your first time clicking that link & being taken to this blog, Hi! I wanted to get this out there because I've got a lot to say and writing it out felt like the best way to get it all off my chest

Happy New Financial year! Hopefully everyone gets a fat stack from the ATO to spend on tattoos or whatever the heck it is you feel like. I've got a lot of July available to tattoo, specifically the last week is (*sings in Creed voice) wide open🎢

I'm also however moving house this month, it's a pretty big fractured relocation, so the month of July is a wild mix of a lot of things

I feel semi frustrated in myself for my current position as a tattooer, in that I'm really overdue to have a continuous stream of concepts, flash & new available designs to constantly entice folks with, and I can't commit to that being a return to form for me until early August.

As of August though I can't wait to share with everyone my piece for an upcoming exhibition as well as a new shirt I know a lot of people will love in which all it's proceeds & profit will be donated to a local (working-with-animals type) charity. Then from there I'm really excited to streamline designs, concepts & flash onwards into the New Year

I've noticed recently as well a HUGE influx of tattooers creating regular video content, it's inspiring & a sign of the times. Very soon I'll have the ability to have a more comfortable space in which to join that new wave by creating regular content myself, we've really had to make do with our living situation for the passed year, so I'm really excited to get this move done & embrace the new beginnings from August onwards πŸ’«

Writing in this blog is part of a healthy, new rhythm for me, in which I journal as well in other aspects of my life. I always heard journalling was a great mental health excercise, but it never felt like the right time for me to start or keep consistent

Journalling has been now a new consistent thing in my life for over a year. While it doesn't necessarily quick-fix anything, it definitely helps and this blog being a branch from that tree, is now becoming a more comfortable space in which to return to when I can

I did not use a recent selfie for this blogposts thumbnail as I currently feel like a haggard sasquatch. So instead, here's a photo I found recently on my old laptop, from when I saw the Dinosaurs in London about 9 or so years ago (these Raptors are blurry in the photo because Dinosaurs will not stay still for photos πŸ™„)

I've been accused in my life of resembling/looking-like Broden Kelly from Aunty Donna, I think I kinda see it in this photo. Thought it was worth sharing so there ya go πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Lastly; I've got some Hoodies coming out at the end of the month, with all these costs of moving & life going in raw, any Hoodie sold (or any merch sold at all really) will really help and be massively appreciated

I'm going to advertise my time available to tattoo throughout this month, specifically end of July as it's 'Wide Open'

I can make time for anyone who wants to get in to get tattooed this month as well as the next, so just reach out if you'd like to enquire & we'll take it from there

Thanks for reading

Cheers :)
